Introduction Of Chief Minister Atmanirbhar Asom Abhijan .

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sharma Brought A Scheme Called Atmanirbhar Asom Abhijan In 2023 To Solve The Unemployment Problem In Assam And Make The People Of Assam Entrepreneurial. Under This Scheme, The Government Provides 50% Discount And 50%Interest Free Loan Of Rs. 2 To Rs. 5 Lakh To The Educated Unemployed Of Assam To Become Self-Reliant.  The Scheme Is Aimed At Providing Financial Assistance To 200,000 People In The Next Two Years.
Under This Scheme, Income Generating Activities Like Self-Employment After Professional Courses, Agriculture & Horticulture, Fisheries, Poultry/Dairy Etc, Packaging, Readymade Garments, Plantation, Wood Based Industries, Stationery, Fabrication/Hardware, Etc. Will Be Covered. And The  Selected Beneficiaries Shall Undergo 1 Month Training In Selected Educational/ Skill Training Institutions For Enhancing Entrepreneurship, Management And Accounting Skills During Which An Amount Of Rs 10,000/- Only Shall Be Granted As Stipend.

Aim Of The Scheme

• Create Entrepreneur-Oriented Ecosystem In The State Of Assam.
• Generate Employment Opportunities In Rural And Urban Areas Through Setting Up Of New/Existing Ventures.
• Provide Financial Assistance To Enterprising Individuals And Groups To Undertake New/Existing Economic Activities.
• Strengthen The State Government’s Special Focus On Rural Economy.
• The Scheme Intends To Target 2 Lakh Youth Over The Next Two Years.

Eligibility.

• The Applicant Should Be Permanent Resident Of Assam And Should Be Above 28 Years And Below 40 Years As On 1st April 2023 (Upper Age Limit Is Relaxed To 43 Years For SC/ST/OBC Category).

The Applicant Should Possess Educational Qualification As –
Minimum Qualification Class X Pass For General Category (For Candidates Belonging To SC/ST/OBC: Upto Class X)
ITI, Polytechnic, Diploma In Other Technical Courses, Post Graduates,  Degree Holders In Professional Courses Like Engineering, MBBS, BDS, Veterinary, Fisheries, Agriculture Etc.

• The Applicant Should Possess Skills, Experiences, Knowledge, Etc., To Undertake The Income Generating Activities.
• The Applicant Should Have A Bank Account, Which Has Been Opened Before 31st December 2023.
• The Applicant Should Have Not Defaulted Any Loan Taken From Co-Operative And Nationalized Bank In The Past.
• Not More Than One Member From Any Family Shall Be Eligible For Availing Benefit Under This Scheme.
• The Applicant Must Have Valid Registration In The Employment Exchange.
• Should Not Belong To A Family Of Govt Service Holder/Pensioner
• Must Be Registered In Employment Exchange Before April 1, 2023

• Registered Applicants Have To Fill Up All The Necessary Details, Upload Required Documents As Applicable.
• Registered Applicants Have To Upload The Project Report Based On The Selected Sector/Sub-Sector.
• After Successful Submission An Acknowledgement Slip Is Generated Along With A Reference Number, With The Help Of Which A Registered Applicant Can Track The Status Of The Application. An SMS And Email Is Being Sent To The Applicant.
• A Registered Applicant Can View And Track The Status Of The Application By Clicking The Track Button And Entering The Applicant’s Application Reference No.
