• First You Need To Buy A Marriage Registration Application Form From The Shop, The Application Form Will Be Accompanied By The Notice And Declaration Form.And Enter The Full And Correctly Identity Of The Bride And Groom In The Application Form.
• After Filling The Application Form Completely, You Will Go To The Sewasetu Website Of Assam And There You Will Go To The Registration Of Marriage Section And Fill The Application Online.
• When Applying Online, You Have To Upload The Required Documents Like Address Proof, Age Proof, Identity Proof, Digital Signature, Notice Form, Declaration Form, And Pay The Fees Prescribed By The Government For Marriage. You Have To Pay This Fee Online. There Are Payment Options Available Through Upi, Net Banking, Debit Card, Credit Card.
• After You Pay The Government Fee Through Onilne, Sewasetu Issues An Acknowledgment Notice On The Website And After Downloading The Acknowledgment Form You Have To Go To The Registration Office Designated For Marriage Registration And Get A Date For The Marriage.
Procedure Of Marriage Office.
Notice Of Intended Marriage: The Couple Intending To Marry Must Give A Notice In Writing To The Marriage Officer Of The District Where At Least One Of The Parties Has Resided For A Minimum Of 30 Days Prior To The Date Of The Notice. This Notice Should Be In The Prescribed Format And Should Include Details Such As Names, Addresses, Age, Marital Status, Etc., Of Both Parties.
Publication Of Notice: The Marriage Officer Will Then Publish The Notice At A Conspicuous Place In The Office And Also Make A Copy Of It Available For Public Inspection. This Notice Is Usually Displayed For A Period Of 30 Days. During This Time, Objections To The Marriage Can Be Raised.
Objection Process: If There Are No Objections Or If Any Raised Objections Are Dismissed By The Marriage Officer After Investigation, The Marriage Can Proceed.
Declaration And Solemnization: After The Expiration Of The Notice Period And Resolution Of Any Objections, If Applicable, The Parties Can Declare Before The Marriage Officer And Three Witnesses That They Are Solemnizing The Marriage. The Marriage Is Then Solemnized By The Marriage Officer In The Presence Of Those Witnesses.
Marriage Certificate: Upon Solemnization Of The Marriage, The Marriage Officer Issues A Marriage Certificate.
